Dr. Sukehiro Hasegawa, Chair of the Global Governance Promotion Committee, a Parliamentary advisory body, and also President of the Global Peacebuilding Association of Japan (GPAJ), has been awarded the Order of the Sacred Treasure, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon, in the 2025 Spring Honors. Following the 2024 award to Ambassador Tadamichi Yamamoto, Vice President of GPAJ, this marks a consecutive recognition of distinguished service in international peacebuilding and diplomacy.
Board Member Ken Inoue congratulated both awardees, emphasizing that Ambassador Yamamoto’s exceptional diplomatic achievements and Dr. Hasegawa’s sustained contributions to the United Nations exemplify Japan’s leadership in advancing global governance.
