Speaker Nukaga warmly welcomed President José Ramos-Horta to the Diet with cross-party members present, praising his contributions to peacebuilding and commitment to the rule of law. He called for deeper Japan–Timor-Leste ties and cooperation toward realizing the world federalist ideal. He expressed hope that the dialogue would advance bilateral exchanges, the rule of law globally, and multilateral cooperation.
